There is no better place to be a kid than at Hampton Beach!

That’s especially true during one week each year when the Hampton Beach Children’s Festival returns to delight the young and young at heart again. Magic shows, puppets, storytellers, contests and much more are just a prelude to the main event, a huge costume parade down Ocean Boulevard, to the Seashell Stage where everyone gets a prize!

But please don’t wait for that special week in August, because there’s something for the whole family going on at Hampton Beach every day of the week during the sizzling summer season. That’s because Hampton Beach has great things for kids and a whole lot more!

16th ANNUAL HAMPTON BEACH CHILDREN’S FESTIVAL

The Annual Hampton Beach Children’s Festival is the family fun event of the summer, kicking off on Monday, August 12th with a magic show by BJ Hickman on the famous Hampton Beach Seashell Stage and other activities every day at 10 a.m.  and building up to a Giant Costume Parade that marches almost the length of Hampton Beach on Friday, August 16th at 11 a.m. while Mr. Aaron entertains the crowd at the Sea Shell Stage. The parade begins at the parking lot of the Hampton Beach State Park. Every child gets a prize just for being a part of it!

Each day will be a blockbuster, filled with non-stop activity and entertainment, including mini-golf, free ice cream, dancing, storytellers, balloons, and more. There’s even a kids’ bumper sticker contest.

A Giant Costume Parade. Ocean Boulevard gets closed down for this event. Starting at the State Park, costumes are judged, then  Every child who participates wins a prize.

The WINNERS of this year’s Bumper Sticker Contest (which will be made into 2024’s Bumper Sticker) is Hayden Clements, 11 from Webster, MA. In addition to having their bumper sticker into next year’s bumper sticker, he will win a new bike. The winner of the 2nd category is Bristol Tobb, 6, from South Hampton, NH. Both have won new bikes. 

PLAYGROUND
